I'm not thrilled about having paid $25 for a book I can barely stand to listen to. I'm new to audible and find it quite amazingly expensive. Was Fever of the Bone worth the listening time? Offer me a paid vacation in Cyprus with my own personal pool boy and I would probably still refuse. Would you be willing to try another one of Gerard Doyle’s performances?
However, I just paid nearly $25 to listen to what is quite possibly the worst orator of all history. I love the writer and this series, and this book is probably excellent. It's hard to say as I'm still trying to slog through the audio. What was one of the most memorable moments of Fever of the Bone? Gerard Doyle - If I had a choice between shoving a meat thermometer into my eardrum or listening to Gerard Doyle narrate another book, I would, without hesitation, choose the former. Would you try another book from Val McDermid and/or Gerard Doyle?
